PURCHASING GOODS FROM OUR EBAY ACCOUNT

Virtually from the very birth of the Centre, we have asked people to let us have their jumble - unwanted presents, toys, clothes, ornaments, jewellery, books and white elephant. Before we joined the Internet Age, we sold it at car boot sales and fundraising events.

In April of 2004, however, we dipped an exploratory toe in the waters of the on-line auctioneers, eBay - and were both amazed and delighted at the result.

We average around £1,500 a year - and in the process make new contacts all over the world. A friendly young Icelander was an avid collector of Delft, a charming German astrophysicist unexpectedly turned out to be a chocolate groupie and a lovely lady in New Zealand was so enamoured of Royal Doulton's "Brambly Hedge" porcelain that she was prepared to pay to have four beakers shipped halfway around the world …

You will find our eBay page at:

Please drop by occasionally to see what we have on offer … or add us to your "Favourites" page. We sell everything from books to porcelain and glassware via jewellery, toys and shoes (and of course, if you have anything you think might be saleable … we'd be only too delighted to relieve you of the burden of ownership …!)
